What a beautiful cake made by mustloveherbs! We’re loving the incorporation of red clover, which can be a great easily forageable food as well. The blossoms are great in a little home made jam, too!
Do you ever cook with clover? How about any other forageable plants?

Red Clover Forager’s Cake. I have been drawn to the forest even more than usual lately. The garden has been slowing down and needing less from me as summer comes to a close. This means my spare time has been foraging and observing nature in all its unkept glory. Red Clover is still heavily producing here in Appalachia. Red clover is typically used to treat respiratory issues, inflammatory skin conditions, and other inflammatory issues such as arthritis. However, I am most familiar with them for their women’s health benefits. They are often used in herbal medicine to help alleviate menopausal symptoms. If you would like the recipe to this delicious and beneficial cake the link is in my bio! ✨🌿
